Arabella McNie

Arabella McNie is one of the Interior Industry's most well-known and experienced stylists and creative directors. Her wide set of skills covers set design, art direction, creative direction and product development.

Arabella started her career over 25 years ago working for one of the world's most renowned interior design companies, Mary Fox-Linton, from there moving on to contribute to magazines including World of Interiors, Homes & Gardens, Country Homes and Interiors and Saturday Telegraph Magazine.

After deciding to freelance, Arabella has been in constant demand for a wide range of projects culminating in her triumphant curatorship of Wool House 2013 for the British Wool Marketing Board at Somerset House, commissioning and collaborating with Kit Kemp, Ashley Hicks, Fox Linton, Alternative Flooring and Claudy Jongstra, amongst others. This was followed by numerous other installations, exhibitions and collaborations for the not for profit organisation (patron HRH The Prince of Wales) under their Campaign For Wool banner over the five year period since then, including installations at Southwark Cathedral, London Flooring Shows at Chelsea F.C., pop-up shops at Clifford St, Mayfair, and at Carousel, Marylebone as well as stands at the annual Decorex exhibition. Arabella also art directed and styled the accompanying photographic shoots for the projects.

Since 2017 Arabella has been Creative Director of the two main annual interiors events at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour (DCCH):- Focus held each September, and London Design Week held each March, where she has concepted, curated and designed the main installations, pop-up restaurants and bars, display pods and windows, as well as art directing and styling the accompanying main advertising photographic shoots. Other projects Arabella has undertaken for DCCH include East Meets West, Twinkle, Chelsea Fringe and A Celebration of Archives.

Arabella has styled many and various photographic shoots over the years including designing and styling huge set builds for shoots for Harrods, and creating concepts and styling shoots for Zinc, Mulberry, Zoffany, GP & J Baker, Porta Romana, Linwood, Greg Kinsella, Catchpole & Rye, Nina Campbell and The Water Monopoly. She has also styled interiors books for Kelly Hoppen and recently styled the highly successful John Lewis two year homewares advertising campaign titled "The Edit".

Arabella lives in London with her family and her Parson's Jack Russell Terrier Charlie, who occasionally models in some of her client's campaign shots.
